How to adjust the front and rear speed of mountain bike and the method of quickly adjusting the speed
first observe that when the distance between the transmission and the big gear plate is just loaded, there is a sticker on the new front dial indicating the distance, which can be adjusted according to this sticker. If there is no sticker in the future, it can be measured according to the manual measurement or ruler, and it can be roughly maintained at a distance of 1 to 2mm.
keep the big gear plate parallel to the front shift guide plate.
when the front shift lever changes to 1, the fine-tuning bolt returns to zero. The adjustment of the front shift has two steps: one is to adjust the inner limit (inner dead center of the driving range) and the outer limit (outer dead center of the driving range), and the other is the positioning adjustment during speed change.
These two are limit screws. H and l will be marked on the front dial to distinguish the internal and external limit screws. One is to adjust the internal limit and the other is to adjust the external limit.
H screw - used to adjust the positioning of the chain at the maximum disc.
Anticlockwise (turning out): the front shift arm is far away from the sitting tube;
Clockwise (screw in): the front shift arm is close to the sitting tube.
L screw - used to adjust the positioning of the chain at the minimum disc.
Counterclockwise (out): the front shift arm is close to the sitting tube;
Clockwise (screw in): the front shift arm is far away from the sitting tube.
Note: counter clockwise (spin out) to master the scale. Too much will cause the chain to fall off the disc and get stuck between the tee and the small disc, which is very dangerous.
internal limit adjustment: first change the toothed disc to the minimum toothed plate and the flywheel to the maximum toothed plate, and check whether the inner chain guide plate rubs with the chain, or the gap between the inner chain guide plate and the chain is large. At this time, it is necessary to adjust the screw marked l to keep a distance of 1 to 1.5mm from the chain. The chain touches the front guide chain plate and can be adjusted to the required distance.
Loosen the front shift cable first, adjust the spacing between the front shift and the inner limit according to the inner limit adjustment method, and then tighten the front shift cable.
outer limit adjustment: change the front gear to the maximum gear plate and the flywheel to the minimum plate, and then check whether the outer chain guide plate touches the chain or the spacing is too large. Adjust the screw marked with H and keep it at a distance of 1 to 1.5mm. If the spacing is too large, just adjust the H screw.
if the outer chain guide plate is too outward, the chain will fall out and even get stuck between the chain and the crank. Therefore, it should be noted that if the outer chain guide plate of the adjusting screw h still touches the chain, it means that the transmission line is relatively loose and the fine adjustment bolt on the transmission needs to be adjusted.
